“Sen. Kamala Harris of California is the latest Democrat seeking to challenge Donald Trump for the U.S. presidency next year and potentially Planned Parenthood’s best friend yet in the race…
She holds consistent 100 percent pro-abortion position ratings with Planned Parenthood Action Fund and NARAL, has vowed to defend Roe v. Wade and bragged about forcing religiously-owned companies and pro-life pregnancy centers to violate their consciences. As California’s top cop, she played a key role in defending Planned Parenthood amid its biggest scandal of the past decade when the pro-life Center for Medical Progress (CMP) began releasing in 2015 undercover videos that revealed Planned Parenthood officials expressing a desire to illegally profit from selling organs of aborted babies (as well as alluding to a range of other violations of federal law).
Most of the footage was taken in California, but Harris responded by announcing she would investigate CMP rather than Planned Parenthood, and went on to raid the home of CMP head David Daleiden while accepting the abortion giant’s donations for her Senate run. Numerous pro-life organizations called on Harris to resign over the apparent conflict of interest, and Daleiden’s attorneys cited leaked emails that showed Harris’ office coordinating with Planned Parenthood on drafts of legislation that would criminalize undercover investigations like CMP’s.
On Monday, Daleiden called it a ‘bad joke’ that Harris was running for president on rhetoric about ‘truth, justice, decency, equality, freedom, democracy’ when she ‘weaponized the powers of law enforcement to attack my First Amendment civil rights as a citizen journalist.’
It’s a bad joke for @KamalaHarris to say she’s running for ‘truth, justice, decency, equality, freedom, democracy’ when she weaponized the powers of law enforcement to attack my 1st Amendment civil rights as a citizen journalist at the bidding of her @PPact donors and backers. https://t.co/ohzYKi2zxU

After winning election to the Senate, Harris continued to agitate for left-wing social causes. She tried to get then-judicial nominee Justice Brett Kavanaugh to agree that Obergefell v. Hodges, the ruling that forced states to recognize same-sex ‘marriage,’ was ‘one of the great moments in the history of the Supreme Court,’ and last month challenged Trump judicial nominee Brian Buescher on his positions on abortion and homosexuality, and if he knew the Catholic fraternal organization Knights of Columbus had positions on both issues when he joined it. ‘We’ve got to understand that when we are talking about a particular transgender community for too long they have been the subject of bias and, frankly, a lack of understanding about their circumstance and their physical needs, in addition to any other needs they have,’ the candidate told reporters Monday at her alma mater Howard University, CNS News reported. ‘And it’s about time that we have a better understanding of that.'”
