Cruel motorists shouted for a suicidal man on a bridge over a dual carriageway to ‘just jump’.
The man’s feet were over the lip of the bridge over the A38 when the drivers encouraged him to jump.
He might have taken his own life had it not been for the actions of acting sergeant Ben Wildman, reports Derbyshire Live.
The 32-year-old said it was one of the most testing days of his career with members of the public nearby beeping their horns and saying ‘just jump’.
He said: “It was one of the most testing days of my career.”
