Brother Michael Dimond
Francis’ December 2, 2015, ‘catechesis’ during his General Audience:
“… I met the Evangelical and Muslim communities, sharing prayer and the commitment for peace… The missionary spirit is not proselytizing: this nun told me that the Muslim women go to them because they know that the Sisters are good nurses who take good care of them, and they don’t catechize in order to convert them!… Please, do not rule out this possibility of becoming a missionary, to bring love, humanity, faith to other countries. Not to proselytize, no. That is done by those who are seeking something else.”
Francis’ January 6, 2016 “homily”:
“For the Church, to be missionary does not mean to proselytize…”
Throughout history Catholics and even the “secular world” have always understood Catholic missionaries as those who try to convert (proselytize) non-Catholics to the Catholic faith. Jesus laid down this command in Mark 16:16: “And he said to them: Go into the whole world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized shall be saved: but he who does not believe shall be condemned.” This is the gospel teaching revealed by God. If you are a Catholic, you have to believe it. Antipope Francis and the other antipopes of the Vatican II sect, however, preach a new gospel which tells people not to attempt to convert others. Francis is a non-Catholic antipope and anathematized.
Galatians 1:8,9- “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If anyone preaches to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.”
