Benedict XVI, Discourse to a Delegation of the Mennonite World Conference on the occasion of their visit to the Vatican, October 19, 2007: “In the ecumenical spirit of recent times, we have begun to have contacts with each other after centuries of isolation. I am aware that the leader of the Mennonite World Conference accepted the invitation of Pope John Paul II, to join him in Assisi both in 1986 and in 2002 to pray for world peace at a great gathering of leaders of Churches and Ecclesial Communities and other world religions.
And I am pleased that officials of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity have responded to your invitations to attend your world assemblies in 1997 and 2003… Mennonites are well known for their strong Christian witness of peace…” (L’Osservatore Romano, October 17, 2007, page 5.)
Benedict XVI again promotes again the amazingly heretical prayer meeting in Assisi. He then goes on to say that the Mennonites (a heretical Protestant religion) are “well known for their strong Christian witness.” Benedict XVI is a heretic.
