Fugitive falls through ceiling while hiding from deputies
wmcactionnews5.com
In what could be described as a perfect definition of "bad timing," a man is in jail after being captured while trying to hide from law enforcement.
The Fugitive Apprehension Team went to Kevin Swift's home in the 4500 block of Country Brook Drive to arrest him for active warrants for theft of property and assault. When they arrived, the woman inside the home did not cooperate with deputies.
They knocked on doors and windows for several minutes before she began talking to them through the door. Once they eventually were able to get inside the home, the woman, Pearl Davis, told the deputies Swift was not home.
"Kevin isn't here. He left at 11 a.m. with his mother to go to the doctor," Davis told deputies.
At the same time she was telling deputies this, Swift fell through the ceiling above deputies. He was arrested and Pearl Davis was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact.
