Brother Michael Dimond
Francis’ December 1, 2017 greeting before meeting with the “Bishops of Bangladesh”:
“The Church, the Kingdom of God, does not grow by proselytizing.”
The heretic Francis teaches that the Church does not grow by attempting to convert non-Catholics to the Catholic Church.
Francis’ December 1, 2017 press conference with journalists on the return flight from Bangladesh:
Etienne Loraillère, «KTO» (“French Catholic Television”): “Some are opposed to interreligious dialogue and evangelization. During this journey, you spoke of dialogue for peacebuilding. But what is your priority: evangelization or a dialogue for peace?”
Francis: “The Church grows not through proselytizing… one young man asked me this question: ‘What should I say to a university classmate, a friend, a good person, but who is atheist? What should I tell him in order to change him, to convert him?’ This was the response: ‘The last thing you should do is to say something…’ Peace begins to be broken in this field when proselytism begins, and there are many types of proselytism.”
Comment: The Catholic Church does grow through proselytizing – i.e. by attempts to convert non-Catholics to the Catholic faith. These are made by preaching the Gospel. However, the apostate Francis holds the opposite. He says that “the Church grows not through proselytizing”. Francis leaves no room for confusion or doubt about what proselytizing means to him. He was asked what someone should say to an atheist “to change him, to convert him?” He responded: “The last thing you should do is to say something”. According to Francis, saying things in order to convert a person is proselytism, and he rejects such a practice. That is Francis’ official (and heretical) position.
