This was a serious debate with a flexible and interactive format.  We’ve found that interactive, conversational debates are much better and more interesting.  They more effectively get to the issues than rigidly formatted debates.  In the latter, it frequently happens that one side makes a long speech and the other side makes a long speech and not many direct questions are asked.  But one cannot avoid tackling the issues in an interactive, conversational debate.

 

Vin Lewis actually proclaims himself to be the “best and smartest Catholic apologist in America.”  Before this debate, his side was very confident.  His representative even offered me the chance to “surrender” before the debate. 

 

We would like to acknowledge that Vin Lewis was very easy to deal with during the debate.  This debate clearly shows whose position is true and whose position is false.  It clearly shows that one side believes in Catholic teaching while the other side does not.
